My Origami Farm project has won the 'Big Green Idea' grant!
The Origami Farm Project aims to develop the most productive, cheaply producible and robust system possible for use growing food in international development and aid situations. It also aims that this system is foldable and beautiful (hence the Origami part of the name) and suitable for use both in Australia and other climatically different regions.
The project will be led by Stephen Mushin in collaboration and partnership with Dr Wilson Lennard, CERES Environment park and other technical advisors.

After working on the system design and construction for nearly two years with Dr Wilson lennard, we have finally harvested our first crop!
We harvested 120 bunches of basil, 30 bunches of broad leaf parsley, 30 lettuces and managed to make 6 jars of pesto from the basil leaves left on the packing table!
We are currently running the system at about 20% of it's capacity as we wait for our fish to grow and produce more nutrients. We currently have 60kg of fish (native Silver Perch)
